Help with stuck strap on Breitling

Well I'm hoping someone can help me out. My girlfriend let me put a leather strap on her watch to see how it looked. I took a 22mm strap from my watch for hers. However the spring bars were different. The actual "springs" on both sides were longer and the actual bar was bigger than the original. Therefor there's no space between the "bar" part of the spring bar and the lug to be able to squeeze in between to pull the springs back. In simple words I got the strap stuck on this watch. How can I take this off and still save the strap? 😭

I've tried multiple tools to try to squeeze in there and nothing. Here's a picture of how much space I'm working with. Keep in mind the space is super small and the spring part is super long. So it's deep in the hole...

Easy mate, take a pair of wire cutters, cut the spring bar and buy new ones off Ebay for a couple of bucks

In a case like this one I've used successfully the blade of the smallest Swiss knife which is really quite thin:

    Glad you corrected it.

Also, dental floss wrapped tightly around the end of the spring bar also works to remove them and does not scratch the case, as an FYI if it should happen again.
