    Hook & Loop (Velcro)

Anyone care to share any experiences with hook and loop sports type straps like the NASA or others offered by companies like Gul?
What advantages are there over say a NATO or a Zulu?

Lost one of my favorite Seiko chronos when the velcro band failed while windsurfing long ago. Not a fan of velcro watch straps.

I have yet to find any that are worth it compared to the security of a nato or zulu, IMHO.

i think their original purpose was when you put the watch on over a garment with a very bulky sleeve. Maybe.. something like a space suit. Guess a wet suit counts too, LOL, maybe snow mobile suits or motorcycle gear but i would keep my eyes on the road and ignore time.

I didn't know that was a option till I was browsing cheapestnato I think it was, but I worry. I worry about fraying and the possibility of getting your watch stolen more easily, or even getting caught on something and ripping off.
