    How about a cheap Mesh

    Hi,

any experience with cheap shark mesh bracelets from ebay? I am thinking of buying one for my 50atmos.. and given that my Sqaule already has a Squale leather and two Squale rubbers, I am looking for a budget one now

    This one seems alright:

It is sold by access-uk on ebay.

Any experience with this? Or other recommendations?

I dont want anything too heavy and something that will fit my small hand Btw, any idea how to adjust the size of these? Is the - infinitely adjustable version?

    Thanks!

My wrist is 6.25" in circumference and the only mesh bracelet that can be down-sized to fit me is that mesh with H-links (typically 4 H-links, and I need to remove all of them).
I don't know if they probably make it in different sizes (ie. S, M, L), I just never found it.

Those mesh on eBay are just that, cheap and of poor quality.

My experience is that if the deal seems too good to be true, the mesh will be extremely uncomfortable.

Watch out for fish hooks. I bought two inexpensive ones (expensive ones may have this problem as well) and spent some time with a Dremel and polishing/buffing wheel removing sharp edges and fish hook points, where the row link starts/terminates (see the areas in red circles), especially near the spring bar ends., two ends, two sides, lots of deburring

I also bought one recommended here by a fellow WIS, with "H" links (shown above by wtma), a Ocean 7 I believe with absolutely no issues. Was long but very well made, and easy to remove links, My 7" wrist required the removal of three links. $35 shipped, but well worth it. Looks great with a Casio MDV-102 Super Illuminator.

I like my cheap eBay mesh strap for my Seiko SRP307. The only problem is that a couple of the screws on the removable links were stripped! The only time I can wear the mesh now is during the dog days of summer. Otherwise, the strap is too big and the watch slides all around. If the links were more adjustable, I would leave my Monster on the mesh year round!

Buy the ones with H-links. It will be cheaper in the long run. I have 3 of them on different watches. They are lovely. You can use them on the next watch and the next and the.....
