Keeper on leather strap won't stay put

I've been experiencing this with several straps, that the keeper just won't stay at his place and keeps sliding down towards the first (fixed) keeper.. It's very annoying..

Do you guys also have this, and is there something you can do about it?

    Cheers!

Yes. A tiny bit of clear silicone (Or something similar and pliable, not crystallizing like Crazy Glue), on the inside of the keeper and then lightly clamped in place overnight with a clothes pin usually takes care of the issue for me.

Some straps have floating keepers, which are not stitched to the strap and made to move around, but it bugs me too.

that funny, mine does just the opposite... the floating keeper keeps moving up toward the wathc and off of the end of the strap tail. i find myself pushing it back down several times a day.

A dab or leather of fabric glue available at a local craft store will hold it perfectly. Just clamp the keeper down with the glue and let it set overnight. Don't use much glue, it will spread out when you clamp it down.

Yep, same for me. I'd be interested in whether or not this worked for the OP and what he used......

Still haven't had the opportunity to pick up some fabric glue yet. Today I'm taking half a day of to make some other deliveries, I had planned to get it then too. I will update the result here ASAP.

I've glued some of my personal straps and they've held over going on 2 years now.
