Leather vs. Rubber vs. metal bracelets

Thoughts? I prefer metal bracelets, tang leather or rubber always seem a little to big or to tight. I just bought a deployant buckle for my Panerai, but haven't put it on yet. I am also going to stop by the shoe maker to see if he can add a hole on the leather strap it came with.

I've only one on a bracelet. All others on leather, rubber and textile straps.
    Kind regards

I cannot stand the feel of rubber straps. Even with my miniscule wrists, I prefer metal.

Only one on metal bracelet now though it works year round. Really like leather straps the most, it's the best thing about the colder months. Summer sees rubber and the occasional nato.

Have not tried rubber, but it's hard to get metal bracelets with a good finishing with Seikos (which most of my current watches are). I usually prefer NATOs for my Seikos and leather for the Omega.

That being said, the bracelets on Sinn and the new Rolexes are fantastically finished and I see no reason not to use the bracelet.

Leather 100% of the way. The selection, cost generally lower than bracelets, and for me comfort, are superior. Bracelets I find are generally too heavy, and unless they are near perfect don't do much of anything to enhance the look for the watch. Rubber I reserve for hots days, or when I know I am going to do something physical. Nato's.... I pretty much don't use.

    Leather too from my side.
And get this $5 puncher, a very handy tool especially for small wrist as mine.

Re: Leather vs. Rubber vs. metal bracelets

It really depends on the watch. For my Breitling B2 I've tried everything but their bracelet is top notch and none of the aftermarket straps I purchased looked as good as the factory bracelet. it's also very comfortable which is nice. My Cartier diver came with a rubber strap and I bought an aftermarket stingray in gray to go with it. it looks great and is very comfortable but I keep going back to the rubber one. Both my Hamilton and Alpina factory straps were dog ish- and I think they look so much better with a NATO or nice leather band. Overall I really have no preference as long as it's comfy and it matches or accents the watch.

Love my bracelets, but always on the lookout for a good leather strap as well.
