    looking for RAF strap

Specifically: 20mm, RAF ONLY (no metal loops)...and the kicker: in a forest green, or burgundy. Or similar colors. Typical Army green isn't remotely close, nor is the usual red or crimson. Russet would also work, but I suspect that's even less likely. And, yes, I have looked through several of the usual suspects we mention here. RAF is much less common vis a vis NATO, and these colors seem to be non-existent in any style.

Also, gold buckle would be preferred, but isn't essential. Buckles can be replaced at pretty nominal cost.

Finally: no perlon. Neither Eulit nor Rios do colors like these. I've tried cheap perlon, and they just get tossed aside.

A RAF strap is like a nato but with fabric keeper.

cheapestnatostraps.com may have what you are looking for on the green, or clockworksynergy? And I believe countycomm may have a burgundy/maroon that would fit your description.

    Re: looking for RAF strap

I'd looked at countycomm, but not in the right spot. They do have a maroon that should be OK...but they seem to not like small orders. The s/h for 1 strap, is more than the strap. However, that does give a maker and line...the Maratac Mil line. That helps. Broadarrow carries only dribs and drabs. cheapestnatostraps...is kind of annoying; they call the style "original NATO." <sigh> It's not just them, it's pervasive. The terms used are wildly inconsistent and contradictory with these straps. Anyway, they have some lighter, paler greens...not what I'm looking for here. clockworksynergy only has the NATO approach with the secondary strap and loop...that might work. The flap can be cut off, of course, but with nylon I'd be a bit more leery about an uncomfortable edge. But, they don't have a color that would work. (There's a navy and a khaki that might work elsewhere...just not here.)

Lol just for some perspective guys they are called "RAF" because they were requested by and orginally made for military organizations. Like England's Royal Air Force. Maratec makes them too I believe.

    Re: looking for RAF strap

MoD, RAF, NATO, and G10 all have similar stories. They're not the same style, and you see the term A used on a strap of style B a fair bit.

I just noted: Brad's pic shows one of *two* interpretations of RAF that I've seen. This has the flap; you can see the single metal loop mostly opposite the buckle. Another one seems to be the no-flap...it's just buckle, single straight strap, and keeper. That's Maratac's Mil series. And maybe the Maratac shouldn't properly be called RAF. It's crazy.....

Anyway...after some more looking around, including a site I should *never* forget...watchbandcenter.com, over in Germany...I just went back to countycomm and ordered. 3; it actually *reduced* the S/H. And it doesn't feel so bad when it's split 3 ways. :) And the prices were good. Got one maroon, one desert or brown sand (broadarrow calls it desert sand, countycomm calls it brown sand), and one black. All 20mm. So maybe they just get tossed into the straps drawer for now; that's fine. Spares never hurt.

I would like to thank everyone for their inputs.

You'll be happy with their "Mil" Series. Great quality. Congrats. I've run into the same problems you had when searching for these straps. The naming convention is wildly inconsistent. Cheapestnatostraps has been my go-to of late due to their selection of colors, but I might try a couple of clockworksynergys next b/c I think that extra piece of hardware ala NATOs might dress things up a little.
