    Matching NATO hardware with watch

I find my self in need of some styling advice!

I just bought my self a Squale 50 Atmos and straight away put it on a Phoenix NATO with polished hardware. Now i really like to have an orange NATO as well and have got stuck on one from Maratac, but they only come with brushed hardware.

How do you feel about brusched NATO hardware on a watch with polished case? Will it work?

It will work of course, well most of the time people won't notice anyway. It solely depends on you whether you're OCD enough to feel uncomfortable with it or not. Personally I'd much prefer the hardware to match the case.

Agree. You could go with a NATO like this but it may detract from the hardware. I would stay with back or a golden brown leather strap.

It will only be seen if you rotate your wrist so I see no reason brushed can't work with polished.

Either that or get some compound and polished out the brushed finish so it matches the case.

Mmm... think I settled on simply matching the case as I am a bit OCD

Maybe as you say Nokie it can be polished, but not sure I have the energy I will just drop the Maratac and find another good strap instead I think.

If YOU like it, do you really care about what the peanut gallery thinks? Heck, I pretty much wear PVD Hardware straps with all of my watches, and if somebody actually said something in the words of my strap not matching my piece, I could only just smirk and shake my head. Perhaps a snood comment would follow as well. ;) It's Such a tiny detail. So go with what works for YOU. Plain and simple.

Like others have already said in this thread, it's your personal preference! Rock the colors and hardware you want! We do offer NATO straps with different hardware options such as brushed steel, pvd black, yellow gold, and some rose gold.
