    Metal bracelets with expandable ends

I've been looking for a two tone 17mm bracelet in gold and SS at a decent price (not easy to find since 17mm isn't that common).
Today I came across bracelets with expandable ends such as the 16-22mm bracelets shown below:

I wonder how the first link in either of these chains would look on a 16mm lug and also on a 22mm lug. They can't look right on both, no?
Does anyone have any experience with such bracelets?

Isn't anybody interested in straps that fit various lugs?

The first full link (not the spring loaded link) in the band in your top photo looks to be about 20mm. If the measurement to the outside of the lugs on your watch is less than that, the top link will extend beyond the lugs and look out of place. If the measurement to the outside of the lugs is 20mm or more, it should look OK.

17mm is a tough width. Keep in mind that if you opt for a 16-22 expandable for your 17mm lugs, the spring loaded link won't be flush with the sides of the case.

Did you try an ebay search for "17mm watch bracelet?"

You are correct. As a matter of fact I opted for a 16-20mm band instead. We'll see how it looks...

Good luck. Post a pic of the band on the watch when you get it.

Yes, I would like to see a picture as well as I am considering a similar purchase. Thanks.

Received the 16-20mm bracelet today and it's the perfect size for the 17mm lugs.

Having said that, I don't like how this bracelet looks on this watch.

Looks better with the end link on the outside.
