    Nato Recommendations

I am looking for recommendations of companies that produce Nato straps of high quality. That does not mean nigh price by default. I have an Omega James Bond Nato strap that I really like but the price is off the charts.

What do you like or recommend company wise?

Should I be looking at stiffer strap material?

    Hardware quality?

    Thanks,
What's on my wrist these days...

    Thanks,
My best bond nato comes from ToxicNATOS.
It's soft and thick, but the weaving is not very tight.
    Still very comfortable to wear.
Also available in reverse bond style (grey - black - grey).
Hardware is top notch, unlike anything you'd find on regular nato straps in the market.

In addition to ToxicNato as mentioned, Miltat and Cincy Strap Works. Some dude in this forum is trying to make Omega-style for cheaper, the PhenomeNato strap thread, that you might want to check out. I intend to.

    Re: Nato Recommendations

I've got NATO's from several suppliers (mostly, sponsors on this forum), and all have been satisfactory, at least. I almost always get the versions that have been stitched, rather than just heat sealed. A few things that have mattered:

    1. The quality or softness of the nylon hasn't made much difference, but the thickness can be an issue. I have some watches that are a tight squeeze for 1.5mm straps-- including my Sub.
    2. Length of the various straps can vary, and some might be a little short for big wrists.
    3. Quality differences sometime shows up most in the hardware.
    4. If you are tempted to buy the super cheap, Chinese straps, make sure you are getting stitched straps, a reasonable length and hardware that looks adequate.

Yeah I have a fairly decent collection of NATOs(30? 40? It's something like that) with a retail price between $1 and $30, some of which I wouldn't trust a Timex on.

But I have some straps that I got for like $4-$6 that are absolutely competitive with the normal $15-$20 you'd pay. It's all a crapshoot and it's pretty obvious if you go onto ebay that there are a small handful of Chinese suppliers just flooding the market, and some of them make decent product.

I love Sophie at cheapestnatostraps. Very good quality, great pricing, loads of assorted colors and patterns. The leather zulus and natos are very functional and aesthetically appealing. Just ordered a few more last evening.
As for 2 piece straps; bulang and sons are my favorite.
