    Need band recommendation for PRC200

    Hi,

The leather fold over clasp is not working for me on my Tissot PRC200. My wrist is very thin so the watch is always hanging on the side of my wrist. My wrist is 7 inches if I've measured correctly.

I would like to get a thick leather band preferably like the one pictured below. Could someone tell me what size I should look for so it fits the watch and it's not too long for my wrist? I think the length between the two lugs is 18 or 19 mm ? Thanks very much.

This is the strap I like:

Wink Re: Need band recommendation for PRC200

i can highly recommend the rubber deployment band i got off eBay from bandfever in the USA. i've seen these in 18mm, 20mm, 22mm and 24mm with various patterns. i've pasted a link to the one i have on my breitling aerospace. the band can be cut to size both sides of the deployment clasp to maintain a symetryic strap lenght either side. my wrist is about 160mm circumference. i had 20mm of adjustment left (if i'd cut off the last two segments on the band and moved the spring pin in two holes).

i know some people are into leather but rubber really is a good alternative. i won't get soggy and it's comfy to wear too. the deployment clasp is another plus in terms of putting on and taking off. no fiddly buckle. whilst there are deployment clasps that will fit leather straps, the lail of the strap has to go somewhere. i've got a nylon strap like this with the tail inside (my preference). this is neater because, like a metal bracelet, there is no tail.

they're not expensive either. so, why not try it? you might like it!!!

But how do I know what size I need and how thick it should be to fit between the lugs?

And my whole problem is with the deployment.

I measured my watch band without any claps; just the leather band itself and it was 18 mm. Is this the size I go for or do I have to measure with the clasp?

And how many mm thick should the band be so it doesn't get stuck rotating against the watch itself?

    Thanks.

I used to have that watch. The lug width is 19mm for replacement straps.

Great, so what will I be looking for then when I make the purchase?

A 19 mm watch band... or a 18 or 20 mm band that has a width of 19mm?

    I'm confused.

19mm is the width. When you look around for bands, they will be listed first by width, then length (like if you need extra long etc). Some will also indicate thickness, like 4mm thickness, etc.

    So search for 19mm bands.

19mm is going to be an awkward size for a rubber deployment. a quick search of eBay only revealed 19mm in rubber or leather straps.

Yes, it is one of those non standard sizes. I'd suggest www.thewatchprince.com

Prices may not be the best, but a selection of 19mm.
