New Eulit Palma Pacific one-piece straps

So I quite literally just retrieved this from my mailbox. Eulit's new perlon. Palma Pacific. The first difference: Kristall looks like a flatter, ribbon-like material, and it's a single-strand weave. Palma Pacific looks a lot more like a cord...more rounded, thicker...and it's a double-strand weave. My apologies if the pics are pretty terrible.

The tongue is MUCH cleaner here. There's no edge melting/sealing that I can see or feel.

No ladder buckle any more, which is unfortunate, but the included buckle is quite substantial now.

It might not come out, but the top surface looks a little different from the bottom surface...not sure why. The material's a bit more glossy than the Kristall, that is quite obvious.

Even initially, the Palma feels a little more flexible, and probably a bit more comfortable. The double-strand weave is actually a bit more resistant, and the tang won't split them. That means there's a *little* less choice of "hole location"...but we're still talking millimeter-level differences.

    I like it so far.

Unfortunately, the lack of an adjustable buckle is a non-starter for my smaller wrist.

It is a bit of a problem, but I didn't find that there was too much length, and I have a fairly small wrist too.

I love these straps. I have four of them in different colors, and they fit my 6.5 wrist just fine. Like the double weave much more than the Kristall.

I think the difference in surface structure is because the bottom surface is slightly melted together, which is what actually keeps the weave together. Maybe during manufacturing rolled between a cool top-roller and a heated bottom roller.

About the length, it actually is a pretty short strap. I have a wrist size about 6.5" or just under, and find the Palma Pacific perfect in length. I adjusted my Kristall (before getting the Palma Pacific) to a length, which happens to be just about exactly as the non-adjustable Palma Pacific is. Ca 1½" of the buckle end wrapped under, measured from the middle of the buckle to the end of the folded strap.

Here is mine next to a Kristall.

I'm not really sure which is more comfortable - The Revue Thommen is heavier (slightly larger and more substantial as well as being automatic vs. handwinding and sapphire vs. acrylic) and with the Palma Pacific being significantly thicker, the watch feels like its riding much higher (taller) on the wrist. Still, I prefer the Palma Pacific over the Kristall for a heavier watch, but I think the Kristall might work better with a lighter watch like the "ShangTiki" pictured.

I like both straps very much, but I will soon switch back to lether for the Revue Thommen now that the weather is getting cooler.

I would prefer a darker, somewhat more subdued blue; Rios' blue perlon is a great color. But that watch is so plain, a bit of pop works.

Re: New Eulit Palma Pacific one-piece straps

The thickness of the strap is what is holding me to get one for my SKX007. I wouldn't like if it made the watch to sit much taller, being the SKX007 already a very thick watch. I have a few Kristall for other watches and love them, but unfortunately they are not available at 22mm. I was considering getting the 2 pieces Palma Pacific, although that would defeat the idea and charm of the one piece strap. Has anyone tried them?

The Palma is thicker than the Kristall, but not much. I don't think it'd be a big problem.

And while, yeah, you don't have the quick-swap aspect, you still have the perfect sizing functionality of the perlon.
