New Stone Creek Strap for my Seamaster!

Well, after waiting for the post office to get the package from Arizona to Iraq, my Stone Creek Straps package finally arrived today!

It was so nice to get that Hirsch strap off of the Seamaster and pair it up with this custom strap by Jeanna at Stone Creek Straps. My hirsch strap was so stiff, even after months of wear (in fact, my main request to Jeanna was to make sure my new strap is soft and comfy!).

A few custom details I added in with my order (aside from the standard leather/thread/point/buckle options that they have available) were:

*brushed buckle (wasnt listed on the website, but she said that wouldnt be a problem)
*punch the holes a little closer together than normal
*not too much tail on the strap
*make the leather dull looking (not too shiny! my hirsch strap could reflect light back into your eyes!)

All of these requests were met perfectly. This new strap felt soft and comfortable the first time I put it on, not to mention, it looks great!

The turn-around time was pretty fast. Jeanna contacted me just a few days after I placed the order and told me that my custom strap had been shipped. The packaging was top-notch. The strap came in a nice little custom "Stone Creek" box with protective padded cotton sheets in it, and a business card. Also, much to my surprise, she sent me a Bergeon watch tool, as I remember telling her that I'd have to find a way to put the strap on the watch because I left my watch tools back home in the states. She sent me a message saying "consider it a thank you for your service in Iraq". So that was really nice!

There really isn't much else to say about it (how much can you really type about a leather strap that just fits the bill?), the packaging is great, the customer service was great, and the strap is great! So on with the pictures...

Thanks Jeanna! This strap has a good home. I'll def be ordering more colors for other watches in the future!

That's a nice strap - makes me want one for my SMP

Jeanna's made quite a few straps for me, and will make more in the future I'm sure.

I love it, it really suits the 2254, chunky but not over powering the watch head and good choice with the thumb buckle.

Think I'll be ordering for my 2254 in the new year.

Sorry to be down on your strap but I think the stitching is very poor - it is not uniform and and the 2 parallel rows are out of sync'.

    Pet hate of mine.

How anyone can say that is great craftmanship is beyond me.

unless your using a machine to stitch , that is always a chance , but i think that is what give hand made straps their appeal. a handmade look custom look.

ever see a store bought cake vs a homemade 1 . how much would you bet the ugly deformed lopsided cake tastes better.

Yup ok - if you say it often enough you'll believe it.
