    Non tapering vintage leather?

I just picked up this really nice looking Dassari vintage strap for my Speedmaster and it tapers from 19mm to a very narrow 15mm. This looks like a woman's strap on my 6'3" 245lb frame. Any thoughts on where to get a similar looking strap that doesn't taper? Thanks.

Honestly...a few mm is indistinguishable from more than 3-4 feet away. It definitely does not look off putting. That said I think vintage leather looks best with no taper.

My impression, too. You might look at Clockwork Synergy. I didn't notice anything with that much shading, but some look like non-tapering.

It is all about cost you are willing to spend. Companies like Bas & Lokes will be happy to make you a vintage strap and taper it, or not, based on your input, and will do it at whatever width you want. You will however have to pay a high price. Tons of other companies out there can get you a "vintage" watch strap in this style at lower prices but they probably will have at least some taper to them. Remember 19mm at the lug is considered sort of a ladies size these days, so watches with that width tend to taper a lot. There is a reason most strap makers make 20, 22, and 24mm widths.

We have several leather watch bands which do not taper (like our Gentlemen's Collection or Dapper Collection), all under 35$ :)

    Good luck in your search!
