Anyone ever buy a strap for a watch with hopes it will be the perfect match and it doesn't quite work out so the strap gets tossed to the back of the drawer? ... then several years later buy a new watch and remember that old barely used strap to find its a perfect match?
I bought a Di-Modell shark skin strap (22mm lugs/18mm buckle /7mm thick) for an Orient Saturation Diver several years ago because I wanted to try a skin strap with 100M WR. Unfortunately the 46mm x 16mm and nearly 200g OSD just overpowered this strap. Years later I bought an aviation watch (43mm x 12mm @ 100g) and it was a perfect fit... of course I had to go spend another $30 for a PVD deployment.
