    Quick strap sizing questions?

Sorry for the strap virgin questions:

If a strap is quoted as "80x120", does that mean that the short side with the buckle is 80mm and the longer, "pointy" side that has the holes is 120 mm long, from tip to tip?

Also, I measure between the lugs, correct? The watch measures 22 mm between the lugs, but it sure looks like the OE strap is 21 mm. Do I order 21 or 22 mm?

    Thanks!

    Yep, spot on mate.

If your OE strap is 21mm, but you are interested in a 22mm strap, generally you are OK to go with a 22mm. As your lug measurement is 22mm then you are fine to get 22mm straps.....

Just a heads up for the "Virgin's", strap ones that is, measurements don't include the buckle, just the strap.

    Re: Quick strap sizing questions?

Ended up ordering a dark blue leather strap from Freda, excellent service. This is 22 mm wide. It was a REAL bear to install, the curved ends are thicker than the OE strap and the hole for the pin is about 2 mm farther out, but finally got it to work I hope it holds, it feels very stiff.

If you look close at the sides, you can see the holes, but it looks good and fits much better. Kind of weird putting a $90 strap on a $50 watch though. Should I have posted this on the Straps forum instead?
