Recommend a quality leather strap (not cheap and not exotic)

I've been looking for some new leather straps for my dress watches (18mm and 20mm) and I seem to be finding two kinds of straps: $15 cheapish looking/feeling straps and >$150 exotic straps. Not much in between.

Where should I be looking for high quality leather straps? Recommendations for sellers or brands would be helpful (or both!). Money wise I'm thinking in the $30 to $100 range, although I could go higher if I needed to.

    Thanks.

Edit - I'm looking for black straps with black stitching for what it's worth

There's a huge market in between. Horween leather of various treatments, shell cordovan, farmed gator/croc sometimes, farmed ostrich/kangaroo. Some of the reptile skins.

    Sellers would include:

--Worn & Wound...I like single-pass a lot, which they have, and they have the minimal-stitching model 2 which I also like a great deal.
    https://shop.wornandwound.com/collec...cordovan-black

--Hodinkee has some calf leather, IIRC, that would fit.

    --Crown and Buckle should.

--colareb.it...just ordered 2 straps from them.

Then there's the made-to-order and fully custom options...dozens! Browse through this board.

Horween is my absolute favorite strap of the type you're asking about. Durable, looks good, not too pricey. It gets very humid here, so my Horween straps stain a bit if I wear them in the hottest parts of summer -- probably not an issue for a black strap, but it becomes an issue for brown. But that's true of any leather.

Still too little information left out, like:
    -Type of buckle
    -Type of finishing
-What conditions/activities will you be wearing the strap in
    -Preferred fit
    -Padding or no
    -Aesthetic preference
    -Willingness to go custom
    -Immediacy of purchase
-Many other condition which I'm surely missing...

Just off the top of my head, for $30 - $100 retail price your best bets for manufacture/sellers are:
    -Hirsch
    -BandR Bands
    -WatchGecko
    -Watchobsession
    -Crown & Buckle
    -Amazon Prime (seriously)
    -Squinky (ebay)

As for a bit above your retail but sometime available used/secondhand
    -Bulang & Sons
    -Bas & Lokes
    -Jankoxxx (Omega Forums)
    -Roverhaven
    -John Paul Menicucci (JPM)
    -Heuerville
    -Hodinkee

Plenty more I'm missing. Also, posting pics of your pieces and/or what type of strap you're looking for would help in recos.

Got this beautiful Horween Cordovan from Myron at Rover Haven Straps. Should be within your price range and made expertly to your specifications.

Shell cordovan or something in Horween should meet your needs.

I've always been happy with straps I got from Panatime. They have a good selection.

Thanks for the replies. Globalwatchband looks like the ticket since I'm in the U.S. Lots of nice mid-range straps on their site.

Also forgot to mention Holben's. Much better selection that globalwatchband and free us shipping.
I purchased a few rubber straps from them, and they got one of the straps mixed up. Shipped new one to me with return label for incorrect one, included a few free spring bars and buckles for my trouble. Highly recommended.
