So...I decided to have a crack on making strap...

    Here's the result:

The first ever strap I created. I used this to practice my stitching and building keepers. 6mm thick

The second one i created. 7-8mm thick.

    Thoughts? Things to improve?

I'm going to have a crack making Bell and Ross Instrument strap, should be fun, I hope I can follow those curve.

i think the finish and stitching look nice , they look nice and thick . as for tips maybe should should just space the holes closer together, other than that looks like a very good start to a very addictive hobby.

Well done mate, two excellent straps.....

So which watch is going on the 7-8mm black strap.? Thing is going to be overcome by strap.

    monticore: Noted.

Hmm i've been trying to fit the black strap into my X Wind, which is the thickest watch I own. Well I've no luck, I didn't thin out the leather around the lug area thus making it very difficult to fit. Looks like it's going to sit there as a reminder strap :).

Hahaha, sounds familiar. My first ever strap came to the same fate. Try pulling it apart as monticore mentioned.....
