    some new leather

recently got some leather that i like now i just need to find the right combo with it and some practice with it getting edges stitching better etc..

my first attempt with it thick very pliable oil tanned leather in a nice chestnut .

the best leather i have worked with so far , i noticed though if i use a groover i need to dye the groove before stitching.
i used a pre cut 22mm strap , instead of glueing together first and then cutting down to 22mm so i had to sand the edges i think the other way would give me better edges.

i used the thonging chisel for my holes but i am going to try the overstitch and hand awl with my next one see if the results are better.

i post these here so i can try and get better so any tips insights are appreciated.

sorry also about the typos/grammatical errors.

    Coming along nicely mate.

No real tips, just practice. Be sure to post pics of the strap you do using the awl & overstitch....
