    Confused Staib Mesh Question

    Hi all,

I've finally acquired my first "real" watch, a Squale 50 atmos in black matte. It came with the OEM leather strap (beautiful, but impractical as I live in the tropical Singapore), so I've already acquired a set of NATO for daily wear. I'm really looking forward to get a milanese/shark mesh bracelets to go with it. I've done some research and it seems that majority of people have good things to say about Staib. The problem is I have very small wrist (around 150 mm). Based on the sizing chart I found on timedesign.de, it looks like I need a 130mm strap that can be sized to a minimum length of 110mm, after bending it, the inner circumference will be about 100mm, plus the 49mm lug-to-lug of my Squale, it should work out to be roughly my wrist size. Am I doing this correctly? Can someone who maybe experienced with Staib bracelets comment on the sizing?

Also, I've tried emailing timedesign, but haven't gotten any reply, does anyone know if they are still in business (since the website looks a bit outdated).

Is there anywhere else I can order a 130mm Staib matte bracelet from? I've found a bunch of sites selling 150-170mm, but with no success for the 130mm.

Is there any other brand that carries quality milanese/shark mesh that might be suitable for my wrist size?

    Thanks a lot!

Look at watchbandcenter.com for one suggestion.

    Re: Staib Mesh Question

    I ended up getting the "STAIB MESH 3.6-PB x 20 mm - Pusher Butterfly Buckle - Matt brushed - 130 mm" from TimeDesign.de - Wristwatches + Accessories

It was a pleasure to deal with Hans-Peter, responsive and great customer service. After sending him my wrist and watch measurement, he assured me that 130mm would fit me no problem, and even agreed to return if it didn't fit.

I received it in the mail today in less than a week (from Germany to Singapore). With only 2 links removed, it fit my 148 mm wrist perfectly! When I was first researching about shark/milanese mesh bracelets, I had some reservation for the multiple metal bar links to the clasp with Staib bracelets, however, once I tried them on, they were great great looking and extremely comfortable. Very happy with this purchase.

Nice choice. You don't see Milanese mesh bracelets on divers very often. Most people opt for shark mesh, but the Milanese gives it a dressier look.
