Steinhart Ocean 1 - Rubber strap query

Hi All, long time reader making my first post.

Apologies in advanced if this is in the wrong spot.

im after some recommendations for a rubber strap for my Steinhart ocean 1. I'm proper bored of original bracelet.

Becuase the springbar holes are so close to the end of the lugs on the ocean 1s, there's an unsightly gap between the case and straight ended rubber strap.
im looking for a rubber strap that will sit in the end links and be secured by the springbar - an exact example would be the Tudor Pelagos rubber strap pictured below.

ive tried to cut a couple of cheap rubber straps and found the cuts are very visible because the strap hinges and exposes them. Also the rubber surrounding the spring bar hole is too thick and puts strain on the strap and Spring bar.

Also I've seen the Steinhart rubber straps and find the connection to the first middle link weird and ugly.

Pleaes point me to any straps or solutions to get that sporty but still classy pelagos rubber look.

Re: Steinhart Ocean 1 - Rubber strap query

I had kind of the same thought when I was looking for my O1 GMT but I didn't find anything like the Tudor. I will say though that while I was pretty skeptical when I ordered it as well, the Steinhart strap is comfortable and comes with a great deployment.

...since you have the Red though, I have to highly recommend Brady Straps, it's sailcloth and it doesn't sit flush like you'd hoped, but I've noticed the red accent stitching to go perfectly with my GMT hand and it's water resistant as well, although it isn't rubber. It's my go to probably 80% of the time with the Steinhart (feel free to disregard it you want.)

That GMT looks spot on Preston.

The textured/sailcloth straps are good idea to 'decrease the gap' however they don't have that thickness/weightiness I'm looking for.

If only Steinhart rubberstraps connected to the end link not the middle link - it just doesn't look right to me

Hoping someone else can chime in with any recommendations.

If you're talking about mine, no it's not.
It originally had the black alloy bezel which I replaced with the green alloy bezel.

What about a curved end strap?
