    Strap protectors...interesting...

    Hands-On with BandLiners - worn&wound

The price is certainly reasonable, and the idea makes sense. I just went ahead and joined their IndieGogo campaign...can't hurt to try it.

I think it's a good idea, especially for those who live in more humid climates. I expect they will sort out the adhesive issues and probably offer more colors too. Pretty clever.

    Humid, or just plain HOT.

If I just get black ones this time around, that's fine. Worst case would seem to be, just trim them manually. You don't need the microfiber to extend past the buckle.

Sounds like a novel approach. Please let us know what you think when you get it.

It's certainly an interesting idea, but microfiber sounds like it will just suck up all my sweat, which sicks me out. Still, depending on how the reviews go, socks for watch bands certainly isn't the worst idea I've ever heard.

And nylon and leather won't? :) I have a couple nylon/velcro straps. They have the small mounting section like a bund. Handy, and velcro means you can get a great fit. But they suck up sweat. The one I wore a fair bit, discolored somewhat, and definitely was developing an aroma.

And if you have a very light-colored leather...I have a ColaReb Amalfi, which is pretty close to a cafe au lait color...then sweat discoloration will be fairly quick. And not pretty.

Meh - a niche product for a niche market. Sounds like a product destined for failure. I'm sure if I wore a diaper everyday my underwear would last longer. Just my 2c.

I'm curious as to whether these could be used to make uncomfortable bracelets more wearable instead of being used to preserve leather straps. I might have to pick a few up!

My gut feeling is, you'll reduce the ability of each link to move independently, so...probably not. It's also unclear how the adhesive will work on metal. But heck, if it doesn't work...no big deal.
