    straps for the weekend 11/28

hi guys, one forum member asked me to make a strap for his UTS which was a little bit challenging for me. we've combined our ideas to make this one 90% complete, sort of a diver's style strap(seiko style?). here's some pics..

so i decided to make some different versions..

and one which i adapted from an ocean 7 rubber strap but with stitches..

    have a nice weekend everyone!

    Paul,

Nice work! I think the added stitching on the "rubber-look" straps helps to add a custom feel to them. On the wrist one could see the strap and assume it was rubber, but with the stitching added there is no doubt that it is true custom leatherwork! Keep up the great work!

yeah that's the reason why i had to put some stitches lowes, to show that it is a customized strap and i do not think correct me if i'm wrong that anyone has ever done this before.

They look fantastic - may I ask what you used to flatten the leather so evenly at the lugs?

    Very well done, my friend.

matt, you need to trim it and i think the term is skiving. then heat a metal piece and use it to heat leather you will use as the spring bar hole. time consuming but it's worth it. hope this helps.
