I recently picked up a Watchco Seamaster 200m SHOM. It's great and I couldn't be happier with it.
I currently have it on a Kevlar strap but would like to put it on an official Omega rubber dive strap. After much research, I'm finding that Omega's current rubber straps won't work on the SHOM b/c they do not have straight end fittings.
As far as I can tell, this leaves me with two options: (1) purchase the Omega Ploprof replacement strap (you know, the one with all the holes in the strap) OR (2) I'm thinking about waiting until the re-issue Ploprof comes out next year and seeing if that rubber strap that I've seen in the photos will work on my SHOM. The only problem with option 2 is that the rubber strap will say "Ploprof" and my SHOM obviously is not - thus I'll have a sort of Frankenwatch.
Any ideas on what else I could do? For those who own the Ploprof replacement strap, is it comfortable/nice? Any comments on my two ideas? And BTW, the SHOM has 22mm lugs.
Thanks in advance for the help guys. I really appreciate it.
