    Thickest leather straps ...

anyone knows where I could get the thickest leather straps around? Looking at a 22mm lug width and preferably black or tanned brown / dark brown.

as well as the thickest / or heaviest padded alligators?

I have been told and have seen that 5 - 6mm are the thickest.

links to vendors and pictures will be appreciated. Thank you.

Steinhart @ 5mm, very good buy. I use this everyday and show little wear.

    You can check Red12 straps.

You can also do custom made. Delaurian usually make 5mm+ straps. HKTAN is good but take very long time.

Delaurian by shane for the thickest straps on the planet. I have one that is 11mm at the lugs and 9mm at the buckle. heres the deal with shane. He has to answer hundreds of emails he gets, then he has to respond a number of times to get your wrist size, the lug width and the lug to lug plus what leather, style and stitch color or no stitch. if you have this information on the 1st email, when he does respond he gets it done pretty quick.

I don't have any pics at the moment, but I have a dark "chocolate" brown strap from Enzo that is 7mm. Also have one of his 5.5mm-6mm light brown straps. Nice quality and very affordable, I don't know if he has 22mm straps though...

I suppose these are the chaps for thick leather straps.
thanks all. I bought a Hirsch Liberty yesterday. can't wait for a custom made as I needed mine quickly. But will order a custom in the near future.
Thinking of making my own too, but the tools gonna cost...

one thing to be aware of, is the mounting to the spring/screw bar.
Really thick straps will be difficult to install if the bar/screw is mounted close to the watch case.

Depends on how it is done really, you can go thick and taper to the buckle OR go thick all the way through, IMHO the best thickness is 4mm -4.05mm, but the L&B I have is 10mm tapered down to a 4mm, and the Ennnebi Vintage is 11mm thin all the way through, and incidentally is more supple than most 5mm straps.

I use a Di-Moddell Jumbo Aviator on one of my watches. it's about 6mm thick and the quality is excellent. They are also incredibly good value from this site:

DavidWoo, thanks for advicing me on the thick straps.

Shane, your straps are lovely and very much a beauty. cant go wrong with them. I wanted and have been wanting to place an order with you, but your website (pardon me) is abit confusing.

Is there a better way to view your catalogue?

thanks all. I will and am wanting to get a thick, proper leather strap very soon. Need a 22mm proper!
