Tubes for straps. Correct if I am mistaken.

Hi. What is the point in making a strap with tubes?
They add strength to a springbar only if it is a screws-in, don't they. So it's useless to put them into a strap for lags with - how to call it - inner springbars holes. It will be necessary to have the tube shorter than springbar to be able to reach them.
    Am I correct?

Tubes are used primarily for watches that are fitted with screws and bars, watches fitted with spring pins it is best to remove the tubes, 1 because most spring pins will not fit through the tubes. 2 even if they did fit, they would only work on watches with side holes for depressing the spring bars for removal of bracelet/straps.
