    7.5 inch....

....a great size that seems to work for watches from 36mm to 45mm.

Re: What is an average sized wrist ?

Feedback on this is great to read, seeing what suits one is not necessarily correct for someone else regarding strap lengths.

I believe there is also alot of confusion over strap lengths, Short, Medium, Long will vary in length from manufacturer to manufacturer and there is no standardised template for a strap, what makes them all different I suppose.

As I said length of strap ( both parts, ie 120 / 80mm ) can sometimes mean very little, size of watch and useable length of strap are more important.

For example, to quote "Usable length" 'Wearable length" would give a measurement of X to Y, add this to the lug to lug measurement of your watch, would better determine whether a strap is suitable for your wrist and the watch it is intended for.

    Hope this all makes sense.

I'm pretty much Mr. average in some things:

I'm 5'10" and most golf clubs fit me off the shelf without any adjustment needed for lie angle etc.
I'm an EU size 43 shoe which must be fairly average because when there is a sale, there is every size except 43.
When it comes to watch straps I have a wrist that's just a smidge over 7" and I can just about guarantee in most cases that a great fit is in between holes

I have to echo this experience. Off the shelf straps are difficult to find in a size that fits well. I either buy regular size and hope to fit in the smallest hole with lots of tail, or hope that a small size strap is long enough to tuck the tail into the keeper.

I now am going the custom strap route after having a good experience. For a 6.5" wrist, 110/70 works best for me.

The east vs West is likely to.differ. Seems the people of Asia are smaller framed; India, Oriental countries.
