What's your favorite type of strap for your watches?

Did a search and didn't find a poll like this one. Just curious.

Re: What's your favorite type of strap for your watches?

Well, I had a metal buckle broke from the plastic strap from putting it on over the years.

I had a leather strap that smelled horrible from sweat over the years. I couldn't put it on anymore after awhile. It also broke from the buckle. They do make metal claps so you don't have to bend the leather, but the leather is going to stink after awhile anyway and some of them smell horrible new.

Metal bands seem to hold up, but they do get smelly from sweat, but you can clean it. Every so often you get a hair pinch from the band but it all depends how it sits on your arm.
The MTG is retired and the 5600 too. Right now, the only working G-Shocks that I use and enjoy are the Riseman GW9200-1 and the GW6900-1

If I can own a Rolex Submariner I would. I know they are tough too, their homages are tough. Trust me.

    G-Shock MTG930DA-8V, G-Shock GW-5600J-1. G-Shock Riseman GW9200-1, G-Shock GW6900-1

I voted steel. I mainly wear divers. I do have some watches with leather, there mainly dress watches.

I always thought Leather was the best, but since I bought a G-shock with a composite bracelet I might be changing my mind ....

DeLaurian is the only strap I will wear. Others are just a waste of time and money as inevitably I end up with a DeLaurian.

Re: What's your favorite type of strap for your watches?

Depends on the watch, but I find myself preferring rubber/silicone over anything else (on dive watches of course). Next up would be nylon, then leather/skins, last are bracelets. I can never get them to fit just right. Of all the bracelets I have, my favorite is the Watchadoo, with Seiko up next.

    Cheers,
    Griff
