    Will this strap work?

I have a(n old) watch laying around here that I don't wear anymore. Although it is a fashion brand, the watch itself doesn't really look that bad (plus it was the watch that got me into this hobby). I figured, it's the leather strap I bought back then I don't like anymore. Perhaps getting a new strap for the watch will get some wrist time.

It's the Armani AR2434 with black dial and silver indices.

I was thinking about getting a mahogany alligator embossed strap:

However, will this combination work? The saver option would be the black one.

I'd love to hear your guy's opinions on it or any other strap suggestions would also be great!

Both those straps will work just fine. There is not much in the strap world that does not look good on a black dial with white or silver indices and numerals.

I agree with Karkarov. Lots of options to choose from, and both black and brown are very versatile colors and go with pretty much any watch.

You might also look at the sticky at the top of this forum for a list of on line strap vendors you can review for ideas as well.

I'm gonna suggest something well off the beaten track.

I'm personally NOT fond of browns with the black/gray/white combo, that's much of it. And the 2 straps you're considering are a bit too staid/formal for this chrono. The turquoise blue might be a bit much, I'll grant, but hey.... :)

What kind of look are you looking for - sporty/casual, formal or something in between? What will be best will be what kind of look are you trying to achieve along that spectrum.

Thanks for the responses and suggestions!

What I'm trying to achieve is to make the watch more interesting/appealing. Perhaps something "different".

I'm also liking this mahogany strap with white stitching:

I guess I'm currently leaning towards a more conservative look.

The brown and white is very common. It looks good on just about everything.
