    AP?

Donít see a forum on this unless I missed it so thought Iíd ask...anyone have experience with Audemars Piguet watches? Where do you get them from? Boutique? Do you have to pay MSRP (or more) or can you deal? Just doing some preliminary research on this brand before I decide. Incidentally while it may not make much sense, my other consideration was the YM with rhodium dial.

Perhaps try the High End Forum: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f381/

The Yacht Master is nice. prefer the Rose Gold version myself. It's beautiful - pictures by Monochrome:

Very nice watches. I have the offshore and it is a work of art. Attention to detail is amazing.

Mine stopped working, but no big deal as any high end watch can have issues. AP repaired it under warranty.

I’ve looked at them a lot; mostly in their Boutiques in Switzerland.....
I’d like to own the 15202-BC white gold with honey dial.....

Potentially less rugged than Rolex Which I’ve worn forever
50m rating in Royal Oak line
    Cost and time of service

If I’m going to spend $55k for the white gold watch I mentioned above, I’d rather buy Day-Date for $40k.
    And around it goes.....

I was interested in their Royal Oak divers watch which is $19,000 MSRP. Seems nice enough and the price is reasonable as compared to a Daytona. If durability is an issue then perhaps YM might be where Iím headed even though Iíve read that the dial is a scratch magnet.

No issue with durability on my offshore..
I also have a YM, again no real issues with the bezel..

Offshore are one of the best high end divers on the market.

Very good. I wanted something truly high end and special, AP caught my eye, initially was well beyond my price range, but looks far more realistic nowadays.

As with all high end items, you will need to look after them and service them every few years, other then that, Iíve not had issues with them.

Own an AP15400. Real horology. AP has been eliminating the ADs since 2017 and eventually boutiques only. MSRP only at boutiques. If you can still find a AD, yes discount is possible

    Re: AP?

Let's put it this way. AP is more of a serious watch than a Rolex is. You will find out more about the differences in macroshots buddy :) The details that AP has on their dials and finishing is amazing. You cant say that for Rolex if you do macroshots.
