    Authorized dealers moving inventory

I got a call for a Hulk and a explorer 2 with a very good price.
This seldom happens. Anyone else having the same experience?

    I wonder how this works.

Does Rolex buy back their inventory from wherever and ship them to the US?

Does the Hong Kong AD dealer call the USA AD and say, “want some watches?”

More likely I suspect AD’s had a rash of cancellations and watches already in the network needed a home .

    “...moving inventory”

As in the pool of customers has dried up and the ADs are scrambling to get what ever buyers are left in the market.

I’m happy more fellas are gaining access to desirable watches.

In the last month the only offers I've had are for an Air King and Sea Dweller. Which means only those 2 models "fell through" their model specific waiting list. My AD has a text messaging system for anyone in their system interested in buying a Rolex. It goes out to all on first come first serve basis.

Earlier this month I was in the Caribbean on a cruise and a dealer I have done business with offered me a Deep Sea 126660. I thanked him and turned it down because I just bought a Tudor GMT while on a cruise back in December 2019. I was told it had just come in and if I wanted it was mine. That was a first for me while on a cruise.

Yup, got a call for an 114060 just before shelter in place here in Chicago. Kicking myself for not buying but I already have a Sub Date...Guessing it's a combination of two factors; Diverted inventory that was meant for Asian markets, and queued up buyers turning down models due to the economic uncertainty/adjusted priorities.

Not bad, I’d consider that if given the option

I'd heard a lot of Hong Kong sellers were wanting to move overstock into the US market but now the US is in the same boat so what happens now?
