Question Black Bay 58 unable to wind (need warranty/repair advice)

Hi, I've owned a bb58 for 8 months and last night I noticed it stopped running on my winder (never happened before). In addition:

    1. I tried to manually wind the watch but after 20 turns the watch was still dead. The winding feeling was also very different: it used to be smooth but it felt bumpy (it's like when you've reached maximum power reserve and it stopped you from overwinding).

    2. I then gave the watch some shaking, this time the second hand started to move for about 5 seconds then stopped again.

I've been wearing this watch in rotation with others and I'm always careful with it (never dropped). Since I'm working at home recently the watch was on the winder for the most of the time (a Rapport London winder).

I'm in contact with the AD but not sure at this peculiar moment if Rolex/Tudor service centre is still open.

Sorry to hear about this. What advice are you actually requesting? Just not clear from the post.

Anything. Especially what you think the problem is. I'm perplexed and still can't believe it happened to my bb58. Over the past 8 months it's been quite stable (-2spd) but just can't believe it stopped working all of a sudden.

These ‘new movements’ from Tudor have had their problems. Long live the ETA.

Last time I called the service centre at kings hill they were actually locking down that day .I believe they are still the same .I would suggest you initially send an email to the retailer you bought it from.im sure they will be able to assist though there may be a delay

Not really. Mostly great reports in both stability and accuracy.

OP I’m afraid it’s just a waiting game. Are you based in London by any chance? Reason i ask is I’d take it straight to Rolex St James’s as soon as normality returns and get it fixed under warranty.

Afraid I can’t offer advice on what the issue is.

Thanks. I'm 200 miles away from London. Do you know if Tudor watches purchased from local ADs are serviced in the UK? If they are sent back to Switzerland I'm afriad it'll take even longer time.

Not enough time to assess stability or reliability. The GMT movement has been a nightmare with the date wheel issue for many and now this.
