Do you wear your Rolex through Airport Security?

    Hi,

another "do you wear your Rolex..." thread.

I'd be interested in your opinion on wearing your watch through body scanners at the airport?

TAG Heuer says: "We also recommend that you remove your watch when you go through the body scanner at the airport."

TAG Heuer Customer Service Deutschland - What should I do to ensure the proper functioning of my watch?

    Thank you!

I used to. But after being asked about 4 times to remove my watch, I now place it in my carry on and put in back on once I get through the scanners.

I always carry a little leather pouch in my shoulder bag and if ordered to remove my watch I just stick it in the pouch and into the tray.
Usually though I'm not told to remove my watch so just keep it on.

This - or I will put it in the pocket of my coat, fold the coat over a few times, and place in the bin. Never had an issue.

I put whatever watch I am going to fly with into a travel case and put it in my carry on, then put it on after security.

I do. I've never been asked to remove it and I've never had any problems.

    I did this.

Now I have TSA Pre so I can leave it on.

Non-Rolex owner here who has accidentally wandered into this thread, but....

I used to take my watches off and put them in my carry on when going though the scanner, but I observed SO many people leaving their watches on that I stopped, and I have not been asked to take it off in years. I usually wear my Speedmaster to fly, so I am glad to not have to let it out of my sight.

Domestic flights, generally can leave on, but when flying international was asked to remove. I remember when I last flew to London I had to pass through one of those body scan devices, and the TSA agent even had me remove my wallet.
