I'm trying to decide which color leather strap might look best on my 42mm Polar.
(I'm not a fan of rubber straps).
I realize that color is a personal preference but just looking for suggestions.
Thanks
Someone recently posted a pic of their new Daytona on a perforated leather strap with red or orange stitching, I believe it was from RubberB or maybe Everest. I have a Polar and thinking white stitching might look better than orange.
I have a black Kuki leather strap with orange stitching, Barton "smoke" nylon with a pumpkin stripe, and a couple Hirsch Performance bands--one tan James and one orange Robby. All are quite comfortable. The challenge with any leather strap is finding one thin enough not to be cut and/or scrapped by the sharp case back which is revealed when the ss bracelet is removed.
The Hirsh straps are really nice. I wish they used quick disconnect spring bars. There's just something about scratching an $8k watch with a $2 standard spring bar that doesn't sit well with me.
White dials always work well with lighter browns. Black leather would be too much in my opinion, too stark in contrast. With that said I’m having my strap maker buddy make me one with tan leather and orange stitching.
Sorry I don't think the modern Rolexes suit leather at all. Have you considered a NATO or Perlon?
