Green Sub 116610LV or Blue Yachtmaster 116622?

    Hi folks,

Looking to get a second Rolex and wanted to go off the beaten path and get one with a brighter-coloured face. What would be your choice between the two mentioned?

I really like the looks of the LV, especially preferring the overall looks of the ceramic bezel to the platinum of the YM, but I have not seen the blue Yacht-Master in person yet.

Have you tried on both watches yet? One may really sing out to you.

I prefer the Yachtmaster blue dial.

I was at the AD over the weekend and managed to see both the watches. I was rather surprised at how bright the green looked under the bright lights at the AD and it was just a little too much bling for me. It may be very different under normal conditions but the Yachtmaster appeared more classic and I always liked blue dials. There is however some price difference between the 2 something like USD2000 which will make a decision more difficult. Naturally you will always have the option of the black dial Sub! good luck with your decision.

Yea - with the YM, I have a concern of the platinum bezel being a little more prone to scratches vs the ceramic bezel on the Sub. I have seen them both, and still cannot make up my mind. Now adding the 116613LB to the list too. Want another different face from the usual black classic Sub.... hmmm.....

The Yachtmaster. An LV Sub is nice, but the blue face YM is gorgeous.

I went with the blue Yachtmaster :) having said that, both watches are quite hard to come by, ADs can't seem to get enough to fulfill the demand for them.
