    How Many Nice Watches?

No snobbery attached, but curious how many “Nicer” watches you guys have at any given time?
The reason I ask is, I have 4 in my personal collection right now and even that seems too much.
I only wear 2 in any given year, and then 1 of those 90% of the time.
And whatever I wear it’s 24-7-365 for all activities.

I guess an Explorer and Datejust is plenty for how little I rotate, but think 3 is the sweet spot.

To me, a Swiss Automatic Watch has always been a very personal item that I am very fond of.
Large collections just water it all down.....but nothing against large collections nor people who wear 2 or 3 different watches per day.

Browsing through Day-Dates tonight again and doubt I’d want to take it off at all....

I have two Rolex that get 90% of my wrist time. I'll wear my GShock to work out, but the others sit in the watch box. I see three as the sweet spot (although maybe the sweet spot is just one more than I have at any given time). I'll add another Rolex and then just upgrade as I get the itch. I have friends with 8 - 10 nice watches and they are always complaining that they never get to wear their favorite watches. Embarrassment of riches, I guess.

Most of my watches are nice. They're not all expensive, though. The only one I wouldn't call nice is my Ironman, and as ugly as it is, I still cherish it.
Is it time for another coffee?

    Re: How Many Nice Watches?

Good thread OP, I had 4 watches for 25 years worn everywhere.
I then went berserk and collected all sorts of other divers, got to approx 50,multiples in all brands over the next 20 years.
Found owners and made great mates around the globe as I've trimmed down the numbers .. A dozen held.
All mine get worn without regard to value or rarity, all the more pleasure on wrist.
    All the best
    Dave

I would say my beaters would be my PAM 1312 and Tudor Black Bay Bronze, the rest I consider nice.

No need for a poll if we all just list them out — ideally in our signatures...

    Re: How Many Nice Watches?

Not sure if by "nice" you mean expensive or dress watch or what but all my 47 watches are nice. I don't see the point of having a watch I don't consider "nice".
