I was recently given what appeared to be an older model Rolex, but unfortunately my experience with older watches is limited to gruen and hamilton offerings. I am somewhat apprehensive to open the case, so I was wondering if some of the Rolex aficionados could lend a hand in a possible visual identification and authenticity check. The case is labeled 14k with an hourglass symbol between the 14 and the k, the watch is a mechanical/windup, has a sweeping sub second hand, and has a very thin case. It seems to be most unlike the common rolex style. Thanks in advance for any help you can give
Rolex has never produced a model like this
at best a fake dial/redial
at worst a complete fake
more pics would be helpful- of the back, clasp etc
