Opinion: do you think this 14060 is decent?

Hey everyone. I want to purchase my first Sub and I've come across this one at a fair price. Besides the obvious gash on the bezel insert, what do you think of the watch overall? I think it may look a bit poorly polished, but again, for a watch this age maybe its not all that bad. What do you guys think? I would greatly appreciate your input.

I guess it all depends on the price. I wouldn't call the previous polishing poor but we all have different standards. I would be more concerned about the apparent looseness of the bracelet...

Perhaps you should add in the cost of a "proper" polishing and a new insert in deciding whether the price is fair.

Right. The bezel will bother me for sure so that needs to be replaced. I have an old Datejust with massive stretch and strangely it doesn’t bother me at all. Thanks for the input

Very bad wear of the bracelet.

The case actually looks pretty good to me considering the age. Yes it clearly has been polished but not overly so. Agree the worst part is the bracelet stretch but that can also be fixed.

The case concerns me the most and exactly as you guys said, I could always fix the stretch. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it

Looks like a well worn watch, and thats what they are made for- I think you will even get over the scratch on the bezel, as the watch ages the scratch will blend in. If price is right go for it

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think it’s a go. I’ll get over the imperfections.

The wear/imperfections it already has makes it that much easier to wear as an every day watch. You'll come to love the marks it gets over time and won't want to cry the first time you smack it into a door jam. If it's a reasonable price I'd go for it. Love my 14060
