    Opinion on Tudor 7928

    Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Tudor 7928. I would like to hear your opinions on this watch. The seller claimed that everything is all original, but to me it looks like the following has been replaced at some point:

    - The bracelet buckle
    - The hands
    - The bezel insert

What do you think? Do you think this watch has most of its original parts?

    Thanks!

I cannot tell what is original or not but that patina is fantastic, that watch has some serious Mojo.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for that watch? RedMoses mentions patina which to some extent I can enjoy but this watch just looks like it's reached the end of its life to me.

I paid $3.9K for it. The movement seems to be in great shape and I cleaned up the case & the bracelet. Funny thing is that the dirt you see in the pictures came right off when I cleaned the watch. I guess the seller was just lazy.

Fair enough, I'm no expert on vintage watches so my opinion is largely uninformed. I would be interested to see what the watch looks like now you've cleaned it up.

I would also love to see a pic after it's been cleaned up.

OK, here are a few new pictures after I checked the movement and cleaned the watch (and put it on a Nato band):

    Here's my thoughts.

IMO, bracelet clasp should definitely be a Rolex clasp, not Tudor.

Hands may not be original, if they are looks like a poor relume.

Bezel pip looks replaced, makes me wonder about the insert itself, IMO I would have thought it should be a fat font insert.

    Cheers
