Opinion on Tudor sub snowflake 9411/0

I've been considering Tudor subs for a while now, and heard it would be good to start out with a 9401/0 or a 9411/0. Then yesterday this one appeared for sale, offered for $3.500:

I was wondering what you guys think of this watch. It comes without the original bracelet, and I see some damage on the bezel. I was suspicious because of the non-cyclops crystal, but have since found out this could be genuine. Would you advise me (not) to buy this Sub as my first vintage Tudor?

I look forward to hearing from you guys!

It's well below market price which raises my suspicion.

Looks like a genuine example, correct caseback, movement, etc...

The dial has a bit of bubbling and dial rot from ageing common to some early Tudor. And the date window has beveled edges. Movement and case back look genuine. The crystal has probably been replaced with a T19 dome crystal at some stage. Looks fine to me.
Formerly known as ‘jtbr’. Fun with vintage & micro......mostly vintage.

Lume looks intact on the hour hand which is good. These can often crack as they are so wide. On the other hand, the hands and lume plots are very white for a watch of this age. Mine are nicely yellowed.

    Thanks guys!

Through other channels I've been told that the hands are (much) newer than the dial and the insert is a service insert. Do these circumstances change your perspective, also on the offered price?

The insert is a period correct MK3 and not a service one. It is a good price for such a classic watch.
