Probably wears too big on Daniel Craig's wrist too but he is a victim of marketing.

Best James Bond ever by the way.

    Re: Opinions on Omega

I've had multiple omega and Rolex watches. I like omega watches. I love Rolex watches. Why? I dunno. But that's good enough for me.

Don't worry, Omega are raising their prices rather fast (faster than Rolex are doing).

Current Aqua Terra costs as much as the Explorer did in 2015.

Price differences are getting smaller and smaller.

Someone has to pay for the rent on those Omega boutique stores.

    Re: Opinions on Omega

Omega makes really good watches and it's a brand that I admire and hope to own one day but currently there aren't any that I would love as much as a Rolex, I like the new PO, Aqua terra and especially the speedmaster moonphase but to actually pull a trigger on one, I still have my doubt. Whereas with Rolex it's easier to do especially brand new from an AD. I respect their technology but I don't like the countless limited edition pieces every year. Their Basel pieces haven't even hit the store yet and now they are releasing the "limited edition" Seamaster commander watch?

Understand, there are no "Rolex fanboys". Rolex owners are men, grown men, with big careers and high achievements. We are not boorish; we are accomplished. We are not tiresome; we are worldly. None of us wants to be seen in a "working man's watch" that's affordable on "two weeks wages". None of us care much about the improvements of mechanical watch technology, we care about what celebrities and power brokers are wearing the Rolex brand. We care about what our co-workers think of us. We wear the right shoes, the right shirts, the right suits, and the right jewelry.

You are allowed to love your Omega's and I encourage you to do so. Back in the day I loved my Seiko's and my Omega's too. But Rolex isn't about "price" or "mechanical quality". Rolex is about perception. Rolex says something about it's owner. Some of us like that. No one will dare say it, but some of us even like how this bothers some people. Rolex has spent billions of dollars and a century of years cultivating its brand and its image. None of my observations and opinions should be shocking to you.
I think I would cite Carl Jung here and say you're externalizing your insecurities.
In poker parlance, you're revealing your "tell" to the world without even realizing it.

No winning this argument so I'll let you have the last word after this post. Have at it. But this is your quote above. I can't imagine one person who reads that will not think you have a snobbish screw loose. ✌️

Isn't it the same just the steel grade differs?
