    Thinner yes, weaker haven’t read anything about that. Also, I’d assume that they’d replace the main spring during each service.

    Most Grand Seikos have the same problem. Bracelet only, no strap... except the more dressy styles with no bracelet option.
    Not really, I think the 37mm SBGR051 (251 after the logo merge) works pretty well on a leather strap.
