Seems like a lot to me and this is where I think seiko is losing some of its value prop
My experience is that Seiko is usually very conservative in reporting precison of their movements (even those for GS movements). I'm sure that the boys down under can pipe in with more experience. However, even if you get a dud from the factory they are easy to regulate.

How does it look on leather. Didn't you get two straps with the watch?

True but 1500 bucks for a 6r something movement seems like a lot to me and that thing is BIG

    Enjoy!
You see mate I have a core collection of 4 premium watches now. Similar to you but mine donít have to be all Rolex to make me treasure them. Rolex, Seiko, Omega and Tudor. What a nice quartet.

The GMT ticked the most boxes. I always wanted that one and settled on the explorer when I thought I couldnít get one at retail anymore. I must admit Iím only probably going to ever have one due to economic reasons.

Iím comfortable and most importantly healthy as is my family. Thatís the most important thing. I couldnít justify buying another Rolex anytime soon. Yes I know you will suggest to flip the Tudor and Omega for another Rolex. That should take at least another 2 years of forum discussion.

Iím fortunate to have one Rolex to be honest and I was lucky. If they were reasonably attainable like Seiko Iíd buy 10.

And yes I love my beaters too. They donít count.

Lol! Can't blame them...the Speedmaster is getting so pedestrian they probably won't sell any without "sweetening" the deal somehow.

Why do you say this? Do you believe that I would trade my health or the health of my family for a wristwatch? Would any of us?

People say this comment a lot and I don't understand it. Is it some lucky charm kind of thing, virtue signaling, or what?
