Ya know, that's what I always thought too but I've recently come across a mutual fund company who is as likely to hire a BA in French medieval literature or European music theory than your run-of-the-mill finance geek. They really value the diversity in thinking and they've developed lots of successful portfolio managers and analysts that way... Who knew??
Under certain circumstances it would be 100% necessary, ie the type of work you want to get into. But otherwise, you can actually limit or even reduce your long term earning potential. Too many PhDs out there.
My brother has a PhD and does post-Doc work at a Canadian university. Earns far less than a new grad with BASc at the company I work for.
One of the wealthiest Texans in his day was HL Hunt who said he considered education a detriment to accumulating wealth. He left school after the 5th grade.
Exactly... Lol.. I often pack with intention of leaving stuff behind too. Makes travelling light easier.
I do the same thing the t shirt to sleep in that is making its last voyage the pair and of shorts finally retiring . I have left so much behind (on purpose ) it is not even funny.
And what is a checked bag ?
Look around you see how many adult male /female does not have a gut....
At work they all call me skinny I am 5.11 165lbs which is exactly where I need to be but to average person I am way too skinny ...the issue is they are way too fat ...
IMHO, there is little to no chance of talking him into a MM. In his eyes, it IS a Seiko SKX. Nothing more. Also IMHO, to be the in-your-face MOR.....He CANNOT be caught wearing something other than a Rolex. On the one hand, he screams spend whatever amount over and above MSRP because that is the true price. On the other hand, he won't wear a watch over a hundred bucks on the beach for fear of scratching it and adversely affecting resale value. A TRUE MOR with the ULTIMATE Rolex collection has no care in the world about scratching a Rolex because another 'Unicorn' (as he calls it) can be bought with pocket-change.
And this is it folks . Could have been the conclusion of OoO
^ I think Sporty said his collection is the best for him?
IIRC, he finally backed-off the idea that his was the ultimate collection, and stated that his collection was best for him. At first, he was saying that he was the big fish in a small pond and that his collection was the best one out there.
At some point it becomes over the top, like that dude, i cannot remeber his name, who has like 1000 Rolexes of which several hundred seemed to be subs.
That is not ultimate in my opinion.
I am w you since what appears to me to be complete duplication looks like hoarding. If one considers the ultimate collection by the sum of its value then maybe in that case that is the ultimate Rolex collection but aside from that to me it is just silly.
