Working in Jakarta and our office was on the 19th floor. One of our guys walked the stairs up and down at least once a day - rarely took the elevator (prob not a bad idea, given Indonesian elevators, but I digress).
Another colleague... overweight if not outright obese, commented one day... why does that guy always take the stairs? He’s rail thin! He doesn’t need the exercise!
Um, he’s fit because he takes the stairs. Any more questions?
Another story. When my wife was learning English, she got confused with some of our idioms (understandable) and thought people were saying potato-tomato. Um, close, but not quite! It’s ok, she had ample opportunity to make fun of me with various Indonesian idioms.
