    Was this the Pegalos prototype.

Came across this, and wondered if anyone knew if this was ever actually available, or were they prototypes for Baselworld and other events. Never seen one with the cyclops. Out of curiosity does anyone here have one.

IF authentic it is likely someone has glued a cyclops on. Prototypes occasionally end up in the wild but the chance of a modern Rolex/Tudor proto getting out is near nil. The ones from other manufacturers I have seen all have some variation of proto or prototype engraved on the case.

I think it's a legit review. Just wondered about it, as I've never seen one. Here's the review.

Probably installed an aftermarket crystal on it?

Don't like the cyclops on it.....looks out of place.

I absolutely hate cyclops and was one of the main reasons I chose the Pelagos as my watch. It’s an utter aberration imho.

Not a great fan of the cyclops myself. This was just odd to see when I saw it first. Thinking about it though, it does only seem to be the added lens which is different and from this to the final version, they must have just decided to remove it.

    It was just a curiosity.

If so I'm glad the cyclops didnt make it to the final version. One of the best features of the Pelagos imo is how clean it looks. The cyclops would've distracted from that I think...

I can categorically say it was not the watch Rolex presented at Baselworld in 2012, I was there and would remember the stroke I would have had.

I would bet someone applied a cyclops to that. It didn't come from Tudor that way.

    Cleared up then. Thanks.

I've never been, so wouldn't know. For what it's worth i'm also glad the Pegalos hasn't got the cyclops. Interesting now to see where it goes in the future.
