Confused Question about the Tudor P01

I've watched a few YouTube reviews of the Tudor P01 and noticed the watch has drilled lugs on the locking mechanisms and extended links that connect the watch to the leather strap. Can you removed the locking mechanism? If you can't, can you change the strap? As wacky as the watch is, I think it'd be lovely on a rubber.

I wear mine on NATO and isofrane...the drilled lugs on strap ends are simple as to change..ive also put keepers over the flexi lugs to ensure no springbar separation.
I've posted it up as my " ugly duckling" to many but to me the patina and accuracy and being different is a Swan move...

Wow! Can I see some pictures if you have them? All the images I can find are of the watch on the original strap

I don't think you can remove the locking mechanism. The "drilled lugs" on that part just seems to be a design thing. The lug extension I'm sure you can. Not 100% sure on the former so maybe someone can chime in. Not gonna lie, it's such a hideous watch imo. Tudor could have hit a huge, HUGE home run if they cased it in a regular Black Bay/ 58 case.

For sure mate..ill grab it out and take pics. Good part of wearing this piece for me is its comfort/ legibility and is a bit like when I got first 600 ploprof's it's not a watch that needs to be babied.

I've marked up my DSSD's way quicker than this piece.
It's got it's place and for sure as much as I like all of the Tudors, you have to buy and try and if you like..who cares if they don't sell millions and others don't like it, Tudor have re released a piece.

I'm sure they will do more in their other new models to cater for Tudor collectors.

The movement is superb and crown action positive and secure.

I reckon you could strip it back, but at the price of the bezel lock on top and bottom retainer and they are good to retain to protect from impact and it's a cool bezel to operate in 12 hour GMT.

No lume pip ticks a lot of buyers off as well, the lume itself is stella...

I'll get some pics mate as soon as I can tonight all going to plan with out getting caught up in travel restrictions.
    All the best Dave

Re: Question about the Tudor P01

For all the reasons Dave said here, the P01 is a great watch. It's not for everyone, though. I happen to really like it, and have put it on an all leather strap. Wore it on Nato as well, in both cases with the lug extensions in place. I imagine the right rubber strap would work well too.

This watch wasn't on my radar until I saw it in person last Dec, and then I knew I had to have it. Good luck.
