I have had several vintage Rolex buckles but I have never seen the stamp across from the 750 before , any info would be appreciated.

Correct. 750 in this instance appears to represent 18K yellow gold. 24K gold is 100% pure gold that would otherwise be too soft for Rolex to use for cases and buckles made from PM.
