Hi All, I’ll be traveling to Oslo, next week and wondering if there are any places to check out for Rolex SS. I’ve already reached out to the AD and they’ve politely said nothing available for a few months... Any help would be appreciated!
The all too familiar 1st post. A question if I may? did you just decide to get into watches today? I always find these posts strange, it's as if the poster has just landed from a different planet and is totally unaware of current or past situation with regard to Rolex. I don't wish to sound like I'm being harsh but you don't introduce yourself, you don't tell anyone about your watch interest, all you do is ask where you can feed the need.Hi All, I'll be traveling to Oslo, next week and wondering if there are any places to check out for Rolex SS. Thank you for the reply. I guess I'm the type of person to ask a straightforward question to "feed the need". I'm not in Norway so hoping someone has a better answer than my lurking around; which others have already posted and I'm thankful for.The all too familiar 1st post. Ok, serious answer now. The Sport SS Rolex shortage is worldwide now, and even some SS DJ41 are becoming rarer. Even if an AD somewhere has a SS model in stock that he is willing to sell for a no regular customer, he will prefer to sell it to a local that he may gain as a customer on the long run. In today's market, you have more chances having your watch through a local AD with your name on his orders book, than from another country.Thank you for the reply. How better to learn about watches, the watch market, etc. than read a forum for watch enthusiasts?I just think it's a little clueless popping into the Rolex forum, asking for advice without a history and expecting anyone to say 'yep sure, pop over to Dirk van Dingle's, he's got a choice of Daytona, BLNR and BLRO for you, all at list'. I'm just being honest but understand that some want to dance around on eggshells. OP, happy hunting and same to all......
