...and I hated it.
Currently finishing up a business trip to Europe, spent the morning walking around downtown Berlin to see checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg gate. Checked out some of the ADs in the area. Wemple had nothing. Bucherer, in the other hand, had a 58 on nato in the window. I've been wondering about this model for a long time and figured I'd try it on, would have made a good pickup for the trip.
I hated the damn thing. To small, too dainty, and I found the gilt highlights distracting. I don't mind small watches (I have a bunch) but when I wear a diver/sport model I want to k ow that it's there. This felt unsubstantial.
I handed it back and said thank you. They were very surprised. Said it was the first of that model model they've ever gotten that wasn't for a waiting list. I'm not a flipper so I said I'd rather it went to someone who'd appreciate it.
So now I can check that one off my list and stop worrying about it. I'm glad I didn't pick one up unseen from a grey.
