let it be, is better for watch value, no body likes to buy polished watches. The scratch is more noticeable because is only one. When you get more scratches you will not notice it.
How big and noticeable is the scratch? Can you take a pic ?
They even sell some watches with a scratched finish. My timex has that finish.
Don't ever buy into the ridiculous nonsense that scratches and mars tell a story. They don't give a watch more character. They don't say any more or less about your manliness for your willingness to ding up a luxury watch. They don't mean you are more or less serious watch guy for having them.
The only fact is your watch is wearable luxury mechanical jewelry. Scratches suck, but they will happen and more will come. That's just part of the game. You either get used to it or how much you're willing to spend moves downward.
But if it truly drives you nuts, get a Cape Cod cloth. If you get jewelry polish cream even Mother's mag polish, make sure you use very high quality soft cloth. Even if you know what you're doing, you will still introduce fine swirls and spiderwebs but mask the more prominent scratch.
If you consider it jewelry, get it fixed or fix it yourself. Personally, I view my watches as tools, and while a ding or scratch does bother me, I would leave it alone.
Cape cod would do the job for polished finishes. I am more interested to know or brushed / satin finishes, like the tudor gmt case back.
Any1 here has any advise for that?
What you need is called Zona 3M wet/dry polishing papers on Amazon. This is what Jewelers use for a brushed finish when you don't have electric tools.
